MADRE TRAEA
Alphonse Targaerys (right)
Alphonse Targaerys
Adventurer's Apprentice
Race: Alvataran
Religion: Naskahael
City: Madre Traea
Gender: Male
Age: 13
Kin: Niccolo Targaerys (twin brother)
Alphonse is an orphan along with his twin brother Niccolo.
He and his twin are exact copies in appearance, save that Alphonse keeps his hair messy while Niccolo wears it more nicely. He has fair skin, white hair, and violet eyes: attributes of the rare and mysterious Alvataran race.
Alphonse has plenty of charm, wit, and energy. It makes him rather likable.
He meets every challenge with a smile on his face. Every single one. He never cries or shows distress, though if unbearable, he will show pain.
He is rather good at controlling his micro-expressions, which makes his deceptions harder to spot. He is an exceptional liar as a result.
His demeanor contrasts his personality. He is strong and rather severe. He denies himself childish pleasures, but insists his brother remain innocent and free.
He is self-sacrificing, but not to everyone. There are very few in the inner circle of his heart that he would ever die for.
Alphonse is a very strict Naskahael follower, and he believes all other religions are fake. he thinks Chantrumic beliefs are close enough though. He is often found praying to the Star for success in the things he does.
He is somewhat aware of Niccolo's dependance on him. At times he ill try and break it. Others, he will exploit it. He does have heartless qualities.
For those who see past the charming exterior, they describe him as selfish, cowardly, childish, and vain. Most of the time, they are right, but Alphonse has his phases where he can be quite the opposite.
Alphonse loves adventure. That's what brought him into this business in the first place. His dream is to one day cross the ocean to the 'continent that wraps around the world'.

AEGEAN
Axolotl Xyloto
Axolotl Xyloto
(ah-sh-ah-lah-toe-ll - z-eye-loe-toll)
Factory Worker
Race: Alvataran
Religion: Chantrum
City: Aegean Standard
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Kin: Kileo Xyloto (brother), Oleander Prauge (cousin)
To live is to defy. To defy is to live. From the moment he awakes to the second he sleeps, he breathes in rebellion rather than oxygen and breathes out flame instead of carbon dioxide. He is the one who is not afraid to say what needs to be said. The entrepreneurs with their so called power over everything and everyone have yet to tear down his iron will. They know it is only a matter of time before he really churns the gears of revolution. He wants to be the face of a revolt against the power hungry dictators that run Aegean. He wants to tear them off their thrones and drag their bodies through the streets. But he bides his time, holding back the storm till he finds an opportunity, and they in turn, wait for the moment to pounce and put out the fire before it ignites.
Axolotl was born a pureblooded Alvataran in the lowest gutters of Aegean Standard. His father was completely out of the picture: his mother was left alone to raise him by herself. Like many of the Aegean Standard women, she was unemployed and sick. She died mere minutes after he was born. But perhaps the old Alvataran gods or some other divine power was watching over him that day, for a factory worker just happened to pass by and saw the two of them. He took Axolotl home, and then began questioning others as to who the mother was. She was a nobody. Not much surprise there. But he found she had family and returned the boy to them. The mother had apparently been out hunting for work and begging for money all day, then collapsed as she was heading home before dying. Axolotl lived with his aunt and uncle. He was raised alongside his older brother Kileo and his cousin Oleander. But though Kileo and Axolotl knew their relatives loved them, they were smart enough to notice what a burden they were. So when Kileo was thirteen and Axolotl was ten, they left home. They both had found jobs at a recently opened factory, so they decided to live in the crammed barracks with other homeless factory workers. The work was grueling and the life was tough, but Kileo and Axolotl hardly ever said a word of complaint.
After years of beatings, mistreatments, terrible pay, and sickness, Axolotl’s rage continued to grow. He was tired of this life, but still could not find a way out of it. He is determined to do something rash, to make a statement, to show the rich that they do not own the poor. And so, Axolotl has become a threat, and it has not escaped the eyes of the superior.

Mitel Ardzuro is the famously evil villain who runs Ritskellio Corporations: a rather large company that manufactures the highest of fashions. He sometimes lets his shareholders in on his latest schemes, but most if not all are shocked by the things he does next. He's wealthy enough to keep himself on the good side of most people. If anything, half the city is wrapped around his devious finger.

Adrienne Savvay
Adrienne Savvay
Owner of the Island Operation Factories
Race: Pallian
Religion: none
City: Aegean Prime
Gender: Female
Age: 23
Kin: Charles Savvay (father), Dianna Savvay (mother)
Adrienne Savvay is the beautiful and seductive daughter of the wealthy Savvay family. The Savvays are the ones who own all the factories that power the island. If they should ever decide to flip the switch, the entire city could plummet to its death in the sea below. Of course, they would never do such a thing... one can hope.
Not that long ago, however, Adrienne's father died of a heart attack. It was not very surprising, seeing as the man lived too much in excess when it came to food. There was a large clamor on dividing the control of the factories among varied shareholders, but Adrienne stepped in and swiftly took over everything her father left behind. Adrienne does not have her father's creativity. Where he would always try and create newer and better ways of operating the massive engines, Adrienne is perfectly content in running things as they are. She has a very strong and fiery passion for the work that exceeds all limits. She will not take no for an answer, and she will never give up on a potentially failed project until there really is no chance of redeeming the 'wasted material'. She bears no pity or compassion, no love or appreciation for life. She has none of these emotions to combat the fierce determination and ruthless savagery she carries. She has had those who step in her way killed off. She sees conflict as a threat to the structure of the system, and she will eliminate that threat at all costs. Unfortunately though, or perhaps fortunately for some, Adrienne is terribly ill. She contracted a terrible disease when she was very small, a disease without a known cure. Since it was contracted at such a young age, the disease has hit her harder than most, and every year, her body deteriorates more. She doesn't know how long she will last herself and seeks someone to take over her father's company in her stead, though she would prefer it to be someone in her own family. Adrienne is a very stunning young woman. In human years, she is twenty-three. her skin is flawless and smooth, soft as a kitten and pale as a snowy sky. She has long, straight hair the color of starlight. Her eyes are a bright blue till they're almost white. She has small, soft features and an almost vacant expression that gives her an appearance of constant wonderment or awe. She is very thin and lithe. Every movement she makes is graceful and fluid. She has been compared to a cat, a ballerina, water; those sorts of things that flow and dance when they move. She keeps herself in as good of shape as she can, but her diminishing health has made her weaker in body than usual. She may be weakening, but her mind is strong and sharp as ever. If anything, her impending death has made her more ruthless and determined. The world doesn't know all there is to know of her, not really. Small whispers and things behind closed doors. But they should fear her, and fear her they do. Her evil knows no end, and her cold heart, once frozen, is frozen forever.

The family is in turmoil, and it’s his entire fault. Whose, one might ask? Belphegor Aquitane’s. As the eldest son of the former Philosopher, Kyne Aquitane, it was Belphegor’s duty to take the Aquitane’s throne, but he renounced that birthright, and now the family battles for it. It’s not that Belphegor does not want the position or the power, rather, he has found something he believed to be more important. The reason: his younger brother needs him more than the family needs Belphegor as Philosopher. His little brother, Belarus, took their parents’ deaths very hard. First their mother’s, and more recently their father’s. Even though he won’t show it, Belphegor knows how distressed and upset Belarus is. He needs to be there for his brother now. Let someone more available take over. That isn’t to say that none of his half-siblings took the brunt of the death as hard, but Belarus is purely his own brother through blood, and he is closer to him than any other siblings. Belphegor thinks of his sacrifice as a noble one, even if such nobleness is small in comparison with the choice of taking on the throne. He hasn’t admitted to anyone why he gave it up, and if anything, Belarus is the most furious at his decision. Belphegor knows his brother can’t comprehend the gravity of what he’s done for him, but he knows it will be worth it in the end. What cares has he if all the world should fall, so long as his brother is alive and well and with him. Perhaps he is a little obsessed with his brother, and even Belarus is a little put off by the subtle oppression, but he has lost so much so suddenly, and he can’t quite handle another loss. Perhaps he needs his brother in a way more than his brother needs him. Generally described as a dreamer rather than a doer, Belphegor tends to put things off that he thinks are trivial matters. He never gets his duties done on time, and as a child, this was especially problematic. He does, however, have a most undefeatable sense of determination when he puts his mind to something. His passion is protecting and serving others, which would have made him a most valuable ruler despite his aforementioned flaw. But Belphegor has a mixed sense of duty. He wants to connect with and save the individual rather than the whole, as he believes curing a segment of something will eventually heal the entirety. Though this is a good principle, he can get a little too obsessed with small details and let the major problem pass him by or overwhelm him. He gets a little too involved with people as well, which detriments his relationships and gets him more hurt than helped in the long run. In retrospect, it is obvious he has a high level of empathy rather than sympathy. He is capable of great mercy, and he has a hard time inflicting punishment, always wincing at others’ wounds. To some, these qualities would only have harmed his ability as a Philosopher, and so they determine it is better he resigned early than destroyed them later. Belphegor is a tall, thin young man with lean muscle but not a lot. His skin is pale and laced with many scars from all the fighting he’s done in his life. He is described as good looking, but looks rather average in comparison with others. He has red hair, straight and at his shoulders. His eyes are a red-umber. He’s pretty lightweight, perhaps underweight. He looks more like his mother than his father with a gently sloping nose, high cheekbones, and narrowed eyes. Per his family, he has a raised scar tattoo of tribal filigree-like marks sweeping across his left shoulder towards his lower, right mid-back under the right shoulder blade.
